Rutgers I-Corps™ Site is funded by the National Science Foundation with the goal of nurturing and supporting local teams to help transition their technology concepts into the marketplace The Rutgers Site will provide advice, resources, networking opportunities, training and modest funding* to assist teams with the commercialization process and/or into becoming applicants for the National I-Corps™ Team.
Who can apply?
Rutgers faculty, staff and students on ALL campuses and alum are eligible to apply to the Rutgers I-Corps site cohorts. The community, and especially Rutgers Alum, are encouraged to participate as team mentors. Undergraduate students from underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply to be an I-Corps Fellow.
Where do I-Corps innovations come from?
Site team ideas or projects can originate from faculty research (funded or unfunded), student work, capstone projects, or institutional projects. The topical focus of a project should be in an area(s) of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) normally supported by the National Science Foundation. You must have two or more team members to be accepted to the Rutgers I-Corps Site Program. See the team members tab for a description of the various team members.
We have a rolling interview process and all teams that apply will be contacted to schedule a 30 minute phone interview with the I-Corps Leadership Team. We will be conducting phone interviews for Cohort 11 in late April, May and early June.
If you are interested in participating in I-Corps but don’t have an innovation, we may be able to match you with a team. Be sure to note that on your application.
