NJBDA Annual Symposium – Smart State: Big Data for Community Impact, April 29 & April 30, 2021

Join us to learn How the state, cities, and communities work with academia and industry using big data to improve equity, sustainability, and prosperity for community members. A highlight will be keynote Stephen Goldsmith, Derek Bok Professor of the Practice of Urban Policy, Harvard Kennedy School, who will discuss “New Tools and New Frontiers for Community Impact through Data” and keynote Tara Dawson McGuinness, Fellow and Senior Adviser, New Practice Lab, who will discuss “Power to the Public: The Promise of Public Interest Technology”. The conference agenda also includes panel discussions, workshops, and research presentations around the theme of Big Data for Community Impact. I-Corps@Rutgers Information Session: Summer 2021: Thursday, April 22, 3:00 PM

Join a Virtual Info Session from the Rutgers I-Corps Site Leadership Team to learn more about the I-Corps Opportunity. We are currently recruiting for Cohort 11 (Summer 2021). We’ll discuss the I-Corps Team Roles (including Fellows), program expectations and deliverables, and you’ll hear from past participants to get their feedback on the program. Finally, we’ll share what’s required to apply, followed by a Q&A. NOTE: Participants receive a National Science Foundation (NSF) Grant of up to $2500 (reimbursement for approved expenditures) and NSF lineage for follow-on funding/opportunities.

- Program Directors/Managers interested in collaborating with I-Corps@Rutgers to enhance the experience of their program participants.
- Students from underrepresented communities passionate about innovation. Through the I-Corps@Rutgers Fellowship, we are also broadening participation by inviting teams and individuals from Hispanic or Minority Serving Institutions in the region to apply to bring their experience/skills/network/passion to I-Corps and contribute in a meaningful way!
